Dr. Lawson
Dr. Lawson graduated from the University of Maine where she received her Ph.D. in
clinical psychology in 2006. She completed her internship at the VA Central Health Care System in Knoxville, Iowa. Dr. Lawson then finished her postdoctoral residency specializing in pediatric neuropsychology at the Indiana Neuroscience Institute at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2008. Dr. Lawson also earned two master degrees during her graduate studies, one in statistics and the other in psychology.
Dr. Lawson has taught classes in statistics and physiological/biological psychology. She has also published papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and contributed her expertise via presentations and lectures at national conferences and within the medical community. She is the author of several entries in an upcoming encyclopedia featuring Neuropsychological Disorders.
Dr. Lawson currently provides neuropsychological services to children and adolescents with neurocognitive difficulties due to medical conditions, and behavioral or emotional problems. Dr. Lawson enjoys the diversity of her generalist neuropsychology practice, while maintaining a special interest in cognitive, behavioral, and emotional problems related to epilepsy, autism, oncology treatment, prematurity, brain injury, neurosurgery, and genetic conditions.
On a personal note, Dr. Lawson enjoys spending time with her husband, exploring the beautiful state of Idaho, and watching sci fi movies.
Kelly Thueson, MSW, SE
Kelly is our neuropsychometrician and intake specialist. He will initially meet with the family and child. Kelly will also administer specific neuropsychological tests ordered by the doctor. He will likely spend the majority of the day with your child when he or she returns for testing.
Heidi Cureton
Heidi is our office manager. She will be the one greeting you when you arrive and the one who will take your calls. Heidi is also our billing specialist. She can answer any questions regarding your child’s appointment.
